Lynne’s veggie box, a favourite with villagers, also includes when possible fresh flowers, fish, bread and cakes. All from the local market and delivered to your door or you can collect from the shop. These boxes do need to be pre-ordered by Tuesday 5pm.
Postscript: Sadly Lynne has had to stop doing these veggie boxes but we at the Shop are stocking fresh fruit and vegetables from the market every Thursday with top ups during the week from elsewhere. We are also happy to put together a veggie box for those in need.
To find out more or to place your order contact Sue Yardley.
We offer delicious sourdough (white or malt crunch, whole or half loaf, sliced or unsliced) and cinnamon buns from Blake’s Kitchen in Clanfield along with croissants (plain or chocolate) and baguettes Parisiens from the Co-Op.
Pre-order early in the week in the Shop or by emailing Sue Yardley
We have a little more room now that we have the front section of what was the old Post Office. This works well for our regular Saturday morning coffee and chats.
So come visit us sometime. There is always someone around willing to chat, most often Hilary!
We sometimes hold fundraising events. Details will be posted here on our webpage, in the shop and on the village noticeboards, maybe elsewhere.
These events are organised by the Shop Committee, with the proceeds given to local charities and good causes.
During the pandemic we raised over £1,100 with the proceeds given to “Wear it Pink” (Breast Cancer); Village Playground Refurbishment Fund; British Legion; Helen & Douglas House Hospice along with the purchase of a bench for the Village Centre.
Christmas time we usually hold a raffle.

Over the years we have mentored many young people in the village as part of this award scheme. It is good for improving confidence, interpersonal skills as well as handling cash and mental arithmetic! Contact Jennifer Rooke for details.
We offer supplies such as wine, beer and snacks on sale/return basis. Contact Barry Heath for further details.
Come and visit: situated just off the A361, 4 miles south of the Burford Roundabout and just a couple of miles north of Lechlade.
